Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged all State governments to crack down on individuals exploiting the current global energy crisis through black marketing and hoarding of gas cylinders. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas revealed that over 3,500 raids have been conducted, leading to the confiscation of more than 1,200 gas cylinders in states like Bihar, Haryana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.
During a discussion in the Lok Sabha regarding the West Asia conflict, PM Modi highlighted the need for heightened vigilance against those trying to take advantage of crises. He emphasized the bolstering of security measures across various domains, including coastal, border, cyber, and strategic installations.
Reflecting on the ongoing challenges, PM Modi drew parallels to the Covid-19 lockdown period, stressing the importance of unity and preparedness in facing the current situation. He called for a united front against misinformation and illicit activities, urging State governments to swiftly address any instances of black marketing and hoarding.
In a plea for collective action, the Prime Minister emphasized the significance of vigilance and swift responses to combat attempts at exploiting the crisis. He underscored the importance of unity and cooperation among governments and citizens to successfully overcome challenges.
