Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pahadpur village in Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, arriving in a special Air Force helicopter. He was warmly welcomed by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other officials. The Prime Minister then traveled to Pahadpur village in a special motorcade amid tight security, where a large crowd gathered to see him and other dignitaries.
President Droupadi Murmu, who was already at Pahadpur village, joined PM Modi for various programs on her birthday. They visited sacred groves, Santhali Jahera and Ho Jahera, a Skill Centre, and Pahadpur SLS Memorial School. The visit focused on enhancing educational opportunities, skill development, and socio-economic empowerment in tribal and rural areas.
The President and Prime Minister participated in a program at Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district, celebrating two years of the Odisha government. The event, themed “Vikas ra Dhara, Odisha Sara,” included the inauguration and foundation stone laying of development projects worth over Rs 47,600 crore. PM Modi addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of these projects for infrastructure, connectivity, energy security, and employment in Odisha.
Reflecting PM Modi’s vision of inclusive development, the initiatives aim to boost growth in tribal and rural regions, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every part of the state.
