PMK founder, Dr. S. Ramadoss, has called on Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar to promptly invite TVK chief C. Joseph Vijay to lead the government following the recent election results. Ramadoss emphasized the importance of honoring the people’s choice and allowing the largest party to take charge without delay.
The political landscape in Tamil Nadu has been uncertain post-election, with TVK emerging as the leading party but lacking a majority in the 234-seat Assembly. Vijay’s party is in talks with various opposition groups to gather the necessary support for government formation.
Ramadoss highlighted that the Congress and Left parties have already shown support for Vijay’s coalition to ensure stability in Tamil Nadu. He urged other parties to also cooperate in establishing a strong government promptly.
In a direct plea to Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president Thol Thirumavalavan, Ramadoss urged support for TVK, stating that such a move would align with the public’s wishes. He appealed to Thirumavalavan to consider the broader political scenario and public sentiment in making a decision.
The ongoing uncertainty surrounding government formation in Tamil Nadu has shifted focus to the VCK’s stance, awaiting their decision on the matter.
