Prime Minister Narendra Modi was bid farewell by five Indonesian Air Force fighter jets as he left for Australia, concluding his official visit to Indonesia. The jets flew alongside his aircraft in Indonesian airspace, symbolizing the strong ties between the two nations. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto personally saw off PM Modi at the airport, sharing a warm hug before his departure.

Visuals from the Prime Minister’s aircraft showed the Indonesian fighter jets flying in close formation with his plane, a rare and symbolic gesture of farewell. This display of solidarity highlighted the deepening relationship between India and Indonesia. During his visit, PM Modi emphasized the new opportunities for collaboration in defense, security, maritime cooperation, technology, and capacity building.

PM Modi expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him during his stay in Indonesia. He acknowledged the positive outcomes achieved during the visit, particularly in enhancing the partnership between the two countries. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson highlighted the significant progress made in various areas of cooperation as a result of PM Modi’s visit.
