Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in three events in the minority-dominated Malda district of West Bengal. The programs include two administrative functions and a political rally. During the political rally, the Prime Minister is expected to criticize the West Bengal government and the ruling Trinamool Congress.
In a social media message in Bengali, Prime Minister Modi expressed his anticipation for the BJP rally in Malda. He highlighted the discontent among the people of West Bengal towards the governance of the Trinamool Congress and their desire for a development-focused BJP government.
Additionally, the Prime Minister shared details of the developmental projects related to Indian Railways that are set to be inaugurated or initiated in Malda. These projects amount to over Rs 3,250 crore and include the inauguration of the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Howrah and Guwahati.
The Union government, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, is committed to enhancing railway infrastructure in West Bengal. Several significant projects, such as the new Balurghat–Hili railway line and the modernization of maintenance facilities for Vande Bharat trains, will have their foundation stones laid during the upcoming event.
Prime Minister Modi will also engage in administrative and political activities in Singur, Hooghly district, on Sunday. This visit holds importance both administratively and politically, especially considering the upcoming crucial Assembly elections in West Bengal later this year.
