Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Saurashtra–Kutch region on January 11 at Marwadi University in Rajkot. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi announced this during a press conference at the Rajkot District Collector’s Office. The conference aims to attract significant investments to Saurashtra and Kutch, bolstering Gujarat’s status as a prime investment hub in India.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, the state government is actively addressing issues faced by industrialists to facilitate business expansion and enhance industrial growth. A coordination meeting with industrialists from Saurashtra–Kutch was recently conducted in Rajkot, along with group sessions involving various government departments. Rajkot, described as Gujarat’s manufacturing growth engine, is poised to draw investments nationally and internationally.

Deputy Chief Minister Sanghavi highlighted the success of the previous Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Mehsana, paving the way for the upcoming event in Rajkot. Emphasizing the state’s incentive-driven industrial environment, Sanghavi mentioned the distribution of incentives totaling Rs 956.51 crore to over 10,000 industrial units in Gujarat from Rajkot. Additionally, approval letters worth Rs 661.73 crore will be granted to 137 industrialists from Saurashtra–Kutch under different schemes.

Gujarat’s efficient industrial incentive distribution system was commended by Sanghavi, who expressed confidence in the state’s ability to attract substantial investments in the future. Minister-in-Charge Jitu Vaghani lauded the government’s direct engagement with industrialists, recognizing their pivotal role in the state’s economic growth. The press conference was attended by senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) Jayanti Ravi and Additional Chief Secretary (Industries and Mines) Mamta Verma.
