The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) organizers have announced that player auctions for PWL 2026 will take place on January 3. After a six-year break, the league will feature six franchises, including Haryana Thunders, Tigers of Mumbai Dangals, Punjab Royals, Maharashtra Kesari, Delhi Dangal Warriors, and UP Dominators. The upcoming season, scheduled from January 15 to February 1, 2026, will showcase top Indian and international talent in a fast-paced competition.

The six franchises participating in PWL 2026 represent key wrestling regions in India, highlighting the league’s national presence and team-oriented format. The player auction, expected to be a significant prelude to the season, will involve over 300 professional wrestlers from 20 countries. The auction pool includes renowned Olympic and World Championship medalists, alongside a strong group of Indian wrestlers, emphasizing the league’s global reach and competitive depth.

Akhil Gupta, CEO of Pro Wrestling League, expressed that PWL 2026 signifies a crucial phase in the league’s development. With confirmed teams and upcoming player auctions, the focus is on establishing a competitive, transparent, and athlete-centric season. The enthusiastic response from wrestlers worldwide sets the stage for a high-quality auction process, shaping a new era for professional wrestling in India.

The league’s revamped identity and competitive structure aim to rejuvenate professional wrestling in India, starting with the player auctions on January 3. The goal is to blend top-tier competition with enhanced fan interaction, ushering in a fresh chapter for the sport in the country.
