Punjab BJP’s Ashwani Sharma and Tarun Chugh expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Nitin Gadkari for approving Rs 1,463.95 crore for a six-lane highway project in the Tricity Ring Road. This project aims to ease traffic congestion in Chandigarh, Mohali, and Panchkula, boosting economic activity in the region.
Sharma highlighted the project’s significance in providing faster connectivity to Himachal Pradesh, enhancing road safety, and reducing pollution levels. He emphasized that this infrastructure initiative would accelerate Punjab’s development, especially with a strong government in place.
Chugh noted that the project would alleviate congestion in key areas of Mohali, Chandigarh, and Panchkula, reducing traffic pressure on important highways. He stressed the project’s role in promoting regional mobility, benefiting various sectors like industry, trade, and tourism.
Chugh further mentioned the positive impact on transportation efficiency, travel time, and fuel consumption for farmers, traders, entrepreneurs, and youth. Under PM Modi’s leadership, Punjab has seen focused infrastructure growth, ensuring long-term prosperity for the state.
