Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann laid the foundation stone for a new Government Degree College in Ajnala, Amritsar district, with a budget of Rs 15 crore. The college, named after scholar Baba Ghamchuk ji, signifies the AAP government’s commitment to rebuilding Punjab through education and public engagement.
CM Mann emphasized the importance of every Punjabi contributing to the state’s progress to create a prosperous Punjab where youth do not have to seek opportunities abroad. He criticized traditional parties for their lack of vision and highlighted the need to reject them to achieve the goal of ‘Rangla Punjab.’
Mann stated that the new college in Bikraur, near the International Border, aims to provide local youth with access to higher education. The project, spanning 15 acres, will cost Rs 15 crore, with land donated by the Bikraur panchayat and residents.
The Chief Minister urged vigilance against power-hungry politicians and assured ongoing efforts by the government to enhance development through initiatives like Aam Aadmi Clinics and educational institutions.
