Punjab Cabinet minister Aman Arora criticized the Congress for evading discussions in the Assembly to hide its poor track record. He contrasted the unmet pledges of the Opposition with the accomplishments of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s government. Arora accused the Congress leaders of boycotting debates and avoiding scrutiny of their past governance.
Arora challenged the Congress to fulfill even one promise from their 2017 manifesto during their five-year rule. He specifically questioned the implementation of the ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar’ scheme and the unemployment allowance commitment. In contrast, he highlighted the Mann-led government’s creation of over 63,000 government jobs for the youth in four years.
The minister also pointed out the Congress’s failure to establish mohalla clinics as promised, contrasting it with the government’s successful implementation of 881 such facilities and plans for more. Additionally, Arora criticized the previous government’s lack of progress in sports infrastructure, citing the construction of 3,100 sports complexes by the current administration.
