Rajasthan is solidifying its status as an appealing investment hub, driven by policy changes, green energy initiatives, and tourism growth, according to Chief Secretary V. Srinivas. In a meeting with India’s Ambassador to Japan, Nagma Mohamed Mallick, they discussed improving the business environment in Rajasthan, enhancing skilled workforce availability, and creating more educational opportunities in Japan for students from the state.
Srinivas highlighted the state’s efforts to simplify procedures for establishing new industries, making the process transparent and efficient to attract investors. These initiatives have led to growth in sectors like renewable energy and tourism, offering new prospects for both local and international investments.
Emphasizing the strong ties between Rajasthan and Japan, Srinivas credited the success of the “Neemrana Model of Excellence” and collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He noted the potential for expanding cooperation in various sectors and highlighted Japan’s contributions to key projects in Rajasthan, including bio-forest initiatives and infrastructure development projects.
The Chief Secretary stressed the importance of further deregulation and reducing compliance requirements to streamline investment procedures. Ambassador Mallick highlighted the rising demand for skilled Indian professionals in Japan, especially in sectors like information technology, underscoring the need to enhance education and skill development programs for Indian youth to seize global opportunities.
Senior officials attending the meeting included Shreya Guha, Dinesh Kumar, Archana Singh, and Rakesh Sharma, discussing various aspects of governance and development in Rajasthan.
