Rajasthan Chief Minister, Bhajanlal Sharma, took part in the self-enumeration process for Census 2027, setting an example for citizens in the state. By filling in his personal details on the official portal, he highlighted the importance of citizens’ involvement in this nation-building initiative. Sharma emphasized the role of accurate data collection in shaping policies and ensuring effective welfare scheme delivery.
Encouraging public participation, the Chief Minister described Census 2027 as a crucial step towards strengthening governance and planning. He aligned this exercise with national initiatives like Digital India and ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, emphasizing its significance in nation-building. Sharma urged all residents to actively engage in this large-scale campaign to ensure its success.
The self-enumeration facility will be open from May 1 to May 15, allowing citizens to conveniently submit their details online. This digital option aims to enhance accuracy, reduce manual effort, and streamline the census process. Following this, enumerators will conduct door-to-door visits in Rajasthan starting May 16 for house listing and housing enumeration activities.
During this phase, detailed information will be gathered at the household level, combining digital tools with on-ground verification for efficiency. The state government has made necessary arrangements to facilitate a smooth process. Citizens are encouraged to utilize the self-enumeration facility within the specified timeframe to contribute to building a reliable national database.
