The Rajasthan government has launched the Youth Policy-2026 to foster the comprehensive growth of the state’s youth and groom them as responsible citizens and future leaders. A three-tier institutional framework will be set up to ensure the policy’s effective implementation, including a high-level committee led by the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs. Emphasizing the significance of youth as the state’s backbone, the Chief Minister highlighted the need to update the policy to address current challenges and opportunities.

The Youth Policy-2026 in Rajasthan aims to empower young individuals through skill development, job creation, and entrepreneurship, enabling their active involvement in economic advancement and societal change. It emphasizes education and future-ready skills, promoting access to quality education, career guidance, and skill-based learning models. The policy also focuses on enhancing employment opportunities and entrepreneurship, particularly for youth engaged in the gig economy and unorganized sectors.

Furthermore, the policy underscores the importance of health, well-being, and sports promotion among the youth. It prioritizes the physical and mental wellness of young people, advocating for a healthy lifestyle, substance abuse prevention, and the encouragement of activities like yoga, meditation, and sports participation. The policy also aims to nurture leadership qualities and decision-making skills in youth, fostering their engagement in democratic processes and governance for Rajasthan’s development.

The Rajasthan Youth Policy-2026 also places a strong emphasis on social justice, gender equality, and inclusivity. It strives to provide equal opportunities for all youth, with a special focus on marginalized groups, creating an environment free from social and gender biases. Additionally, the policy seeks to connect youth with the state’s rich cultural heritage, supporting young artists and talents through cultural events and language promotion.
