The fifth session of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is set to start on January 28. An all-party meeting, chaired by Speaker Vasudev Devnani, was held at the Legislative Assembly to ensure a peaceful and rule-abiding session. Speaker Vasudev Devnani emphasized the importance of constructive discussions in the House, ensuring all members have the opportunity to express their views. He stressed the collective responsibility of upholding the dignity of the House and the Speaker’s chair, urging a positive and constructive approach from all parties.
Devnani highlighted the Assembly’s significance as a platform for discussing public interest matters. He encouraged meaningful discussions and expressed readiness to extend the session if needed for thorough deliberation. Efforts to resolve issues through dialogue were emphasized, with a commitment to address members’ concerns seriously and promptly.
Leader of the Opposition Tikaram Jully emphasized the government’s duty to address House-raised issues seriously, emphasizing the shared responsibility of both ruling and opposition parties in running the House. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel praised the all-party meeting as a historic step, anticipating a positive impact on the House’s conduct.
Government Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, Opposition Chief Whip Rafiq Khan, along with Manoj Kumar, Subhash Garg, and Thawarchand, participated in the meeting.
