Actor Ranveer Singh, under scrutiny by FWICE, visited the Chamundeshwari Temple as directed by the Karnataka High Court in the Kantara mimicry case. This visit was mandated after Ranveer submitted a revised affidavit and an unconditional apology in April. The court’s directive required him to offer prayers at the temple within four weeks.
The controversy began in November last year when Ranveer imitated a scene from “Kantara: Chapter 1” during an event in Goa. The scene involved Chamundi daiva possessing Rishabh Shetty’s character. Ranveer had previously issued a public apology, emphasizing his admiration for Rishabh’s performance in the film.
In response to Ranveer’s temple visit, FWICE issued a non-Cooperation Directive against him following his withdrawal from “Don 3.” FWICE Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit alleged that Ranveer exited the project abruptly, just three weeks before the shoot was scheduled. Despite sending multiple invitations for clarification, they received no response from Ranveer.
Ranveer’s Official spokesperson broke the silence, expressing his respect for the film industry and the Don franchise. The spokesperson emphasized Ranveer’s decision to maintain silence during the recent developments, believing in handling professional matters with dignity and mutual respect.
