Afghanistan’s T20 World Cup 2026 journey ended early, with skipper Rashid Khan thanking supporters for their backing. Despite a win against UAE, a loss to New Zealand sealed their fate. Rashid Khan remains eager to excel on the field.

The 2024 semifinalists faced elimination after defeats to New Zealand and South Africa. Afghanistan will seek a positive finish against Canada in their final match. In the previous edition, they made history by reaching the ICC World Cup semifinals.
