Former cricketer and coach Ravi Shastri has advised Abhishek Sharma to be more patient in his innings during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Abhishek faced his second consecutive failure with the bat, getting dismissed for a duck in India’s win against Pakistan.
Abhishek started with a duck against the USA and missed the game against Namibia due to a stomach infection. Returning against Pakistan, he again fell for a duck. Shastri, acknowledging Abhishek’s lack of runs, recommended that he give himself more time at the crease for better scoring opportunities later in his innings.
Shastri praised Ishan Kishan for his outstanding performance against Pakistan, scoring 77 off 40 balls. Kishan’s aggressive innings, including three sixes and 10 fours, helped India set a high score of 175/7. Shastri commended Kishan’s form, stating that the 27-year-old is currently excelling in his batting.
