The Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan initiative, part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, is transforming traditional Anganwadi centers into modern hubs of learning and care. These centers now offer education, health services, and recreational activities, equipped with amenities like LED TVs, water filters, and nutrition gardens to create a child-friendly environment. This initiative has boosted children’s holistic development and raised awareness among mothers about nutrition and health.
In Neemuch district, 58 Anganwadi centers have been upgraded under this initiative, providing smart learning tools, clean water, and nutritious meals. Families have shown trust in these centers, evident from the happy children and confident mothers. The scheme’s success underscores a commitment to nurturing both current and future generations.
Anganwadi Centre No. 4 in Gram Panchayat Bharbhadiya and the Anganwadi Centre in Gram Panchayat Girdoda have also been enhanced as part of this initiative. Children at these centers benefit from digital learning, educational materials, and play equipment, supporting their overall growth. Regular nutrition exhibitions and special programs for pregnant women are held to promote community health and participation.
Under the Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 schemes, efforts are focused on upgrading Anganwadi centers and improving child nutrition. The first phase has seen the development of 58 centers, with 268 more planned for the second phase. These centers now have essential facilities like electricity, toilets, TV sets, and nutrition gardens. Special attention is given to the nutrition of pregnant women and malnourished children, with monthly community celebrations emphasizing health and well-being.
Beneficiary Jyoti Yadav from Girdoda village praised the initiative, sharing her positive experience of receiving vaccinations and health guidance at the Anganwadi center. She expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the program’s impact on her well-being.
