During an episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, Sanjay Dutt recounted how his father, Sunil Dutt, responded when he expressed his desire to become an actor. Sanjay humorously disclosed that his father’s initial reaction was a slap, emphasizing Sunil Dutt’s preference for his son to focus on further studies rather than pursuing acting.
Sanjay revealed that he had initially viewed acting as a means to avoid academic responsibilities. However, after six months in the film industry, he reconsidered and requested his father’s permission to return to college. Interestingly, Sunil Dutt not only directed Sanjay in his debut film, “Rocky,” but also maintained a strict demeanor on set, earning the nickname ‘Hitler’ from his son.
Recalling an incident during the Kashmir shoot of “Rocky,” Sanjay narrated how his father reprimanded him for taking a meal break when the crew was still working. Sunil Dutt’s authoritative presence on set was evident as he scolded Sanjay for his actions, highlighting the disciplined approach he maintained towards his son’s career.
