The Shiv Sena launched a scathing attack on the ruling MahaYuti alliance, accusing Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde of setting Maharashtra back by 25 years. The party criticized Shinde’s “arrogant money politics” and alleged that a section within the BJP leadership is supporting him to challenge the chief minister’s authority.
In an editorial in the party mouthpiece ‘Saamana,’ the Thackeray camp accused the Mahayuti government of celebrating betrayal, referring to the defection of six rebel Sena MPs to the Shinde camp.
The editorial condemned Fadnavis for gloating over the defection, stating that it is inappropriate to praise traitors when Maharashtra is facing significant challenges like water scarcity and administrative neglect.
