Shiv Sena-UBT MP Sanjay Raut expressed concern over the unopposed election of 70 NDA candidates in the Maharashtra civic polls, calling it fraudulent. Raut highlighted that prominent leaders like PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah have never been elected unopposed, questioning the legitimacy of such mass unopposed elections.

Raut emphasized the issue of individuals being elected unopposed in large numbers, alleging that money and influence are used to secure such outcomes. He raised concerns about the integrity of the electoral process and mentioned legal actions taken against unopposed candidates.

Regarding the Election Commission, Raut criticized its alleged bias towards the BJP, accusing it of not ensuring fair democratic practices. He stressed the importance of conducting elections transparently and without external influence, urging for the protection of democratic principles.

In a strategic move, the Shiv Sena-UBT leader discussed the alliance with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) for the upcoming BMC elections. Raut highlighted the significance of unity within the party and its alliances, aiming to secure a strong position in the civic polls.
