Marking three years of the Congress government in power in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the ‘Three Years of Achievement Dedication Convention’ in Tumakuru. The event included the launch of major development projects worth Rs 682 crore in the district. The convention, led by Home Minister G. Parameshwara and Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, was attended by Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and other officials.
CM Siddaramaiah highlighted that over 290 promises out of 580 in the party’s election manifesto had been fulfilled. He assured that the remaining commitments would be met within the next two years. The government’s focus on development and welfare across communities was emphasized, contrasting it with what Siddaramaiah described as the divisive politics of the BJP.
Siddaramaiah criticized the BJP, claiming the “Karnataka model of development” surpassed the “Gujarat model.” He also took aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over rising fuel and commodity prices, alleging hardships for the poor and middle class. Siddaramaiah asserted Karnataka’s economic achievements and expressed confidence in the Congress party’s return to power in the 2028 Assembly elections.
