The 12th ‘International Yoga Day’ will be celebrated at Mansa in Gandhinagar district in Gujarat, with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in attendance. The main event will be held at Sheth L.S. Science College, expecting over 4,000 participants for a collective yoga session. More than one crore citizens across Gujarat are anticipated to join Yoga Day activities at various levels, including municipal corporations, districts, and villages.
District collectors, municipal commissioners, and committees are collaborating with social organizations to ensure smooth execution of events. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate from Kolkata and address the nation during the celebrations. This year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” emphasizes the promotion of physical and mental well-being through regular yoga practice for all age groups.
Preparations are underway at various administrative levels to facilitate mass participation and logistical arrangements for the events. The program at Mansa will be the focal point of Gujarat’s International Yoga Day observance, with activities planned in urban and rural areas to encourage collective yoga practice among citizens from diverse communities.
