He shared a video on social media featuring himself playing the harmonium alongside Rajasthani folk singers with traditional instruments. This song was also featured in the movie “Good Newwz” starring Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
Sukhbir is renowned for his energetic Bhangra music, blending fusion styles with traditional Punjabi sounds. His musical journey began with the album “New Stylee,” recorded in Dubai, which won three categories at the 1996 Channel V Awards. Subsequently, his albums “Gal Ban Gayi” and “Hai Energy” achieved significant success, with the former going Platinum in 1997.
The 56-year-old singer’s album “Dil Kare” includes popular tracks like the title song and “Nachle Soniye.” Notably, the music video for the song “Girls Girls Girls” features Indian actresses such as Prachi Desai, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra, and Divya Chauhan. Sukhbir, born in Bhogpur, Jalandhar, Punjab, and raised in Kenya, has also contributed his vocals to various Bollywood films, including “Dhoom 2” and “Hindi Medium.”
