A tragic incident in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district saw a Telangana Road Transport Authority (RTA) official lose his life. The official, Motor Vehicle Inspector Venkanna, was struck and killed by a speeding lorry laden with coal while conducting vehicle inspections near the District Transport Office. The lorry driver, driving recklessly, lost control and fatally hit Venkanna.
Police responded swiftly to the scene, moving the body to the Government General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The driver of the lorry, responsible for the fatal accident, has been arrested. An investigation into the incident is underway to determine the circumstances that led to the tragic death of the RTA official.
Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar expressed shock and sorrow over the untimely death of Motor Vehicle Inspector Venkanna. The Minister assured that a thorough inquiry into the accident has been initiated to understand the events that led to the fatal collision. The government has pledged support to Venkanna’s family during this difficult time.
