Tigers Spotted Near Karnataka Village, Residents Advised to Stay Indoors

Tension arose in Chamarajanagara taluk, Karnataka, as five tigers were sighted near Nanjedevpura village. Residents are urged to remain indoors and avoid group gatherings as a safety measure. Prohibitory orders have been enforced in Nanjedevpura, Veeranapura, and Udigala villages until Tuesday evening due to concerns for public safety. Forest officials are facing challenges in capturing or tranquilizing the tigers, as there is a shortage of veterinarians in the district. The presence of all five tigers, including a tigress and her cubs, has been confirmed in a stone quarry area through drone surveillance. Elephants from Dubare elephant camp have been deployed, and additional support from trained elephants and veterinarians is expected. The situation is under close observation to ensure the safety of both residents and wildlife in the area.
