A tragic incident occurred in Haryana’s Mahendragarh district as a bus carrying approximately 40 tourists collided with a truck loaded with iron angles early Friday morning. The collision resulted in the deaths of the bus driver and conductor, with around 16 passengers sustaining injuries, some of them critically.
The accident took place on National Highway 152-D near the Buchawas cut around 5 a.m. The bus, which was on its way back to Jaipur from Manali, crashed into a parked truck, causing severe damage. The impact was so intense that the iron angles from the truck pierced through the front of the bus, leading to the complete destruction of the driver’s cabin.
Eyewitnesses mentioned that panic ensued among passengers immediately after the collision. Local residents and police officers quickly responded to the scene, rescuing trapped tourists by pulling them out through the bus windows. Injured passengers described feeling a sudden and forceful jolt upon impact with the truck.
All the injured individuals were taken to the Civil Hospital in Mahendragarh for medical attention. Some of them were admitted to the Critical Care Unit, with at least 11 reported to be in serious condition. The passengers involved in the accident were primarily from Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan.
