Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha reiterated the government’s focus on good governance, development, and public welfare during the Budget session in the Assembly. He expressed gratitude to Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu for outlining the state’s achievements and future plans. The Chief Minister highlighted Tripura’s alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047.
The Budget session of the Tripura Assembly started on March 13 with the Governor’s address and will run until March 25. Saha emphasized the importance of every state’s development for India’s progress. He noted Tripura’s growth rate of 10-11%, surpassing the national average, and praised the state’s educational advancements.
Saha mentioned the significant increase in Tripura’s literacy rate, making it the third fully literate state in India as per UNICEF standards. The government is also enhancing educational infrastructure by establishing new degree colleges and proposing to upgrade a Women’s College to a university. The Chief Minister urged constructive participation in legislative discussions and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to national development trends.
