Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the state government’s efforts to enhance the quality of education, focusing on instilling moral values in students. Speaking at Shankaracharya Vidyaniketan Girls’ School’s annual prize distribution event in Agartala, Saha stressed the importance of education beyond textbooks, aiming to nurture morally upright and socially responsible individuals. He underlined the role of teachers in imparting moral knowledge, cultural understanding, and life skills alongside academic education.
Saha emphasized the significance of holistic development, stating that children should not only excel academically but also maintain physical fitness and possess cultural and agricultural awareness. He acknowledged the collective celebration of the school’s foundation day by students, teachers, parents, and education stakeholders, reaffirming the government’s commitment to elevating educational standards statewide.
Referring to the ‘Prabashi Tripura’ conference, Saha mentioned the enthusiasm of accomplished individuals from Tripura residing in other regions, expressing their willingness to contribute to the state’s progress. He envisioned a collaborative effort towards building a prosperous Tripura, leveraging the potential of the youth demographic aged 18 to 35, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a strong India.
Education was hailed by Saha as a transformative tool for societal and economic empowerment, emphasizing the enduring value of education integrated with ethical principles. He outlined the government’s objective of nurturing morally upright students, citing the pivotal role of the youth in shaping India’s future. With a focus on women’s empowerment and the transformative power of education, Saha reiterated the commitment to realizing the vision of a developed Tripura by 2047, in line with the national ‘Viksit Bharat’ goal.
