Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha highlighted the importance of timely completion of infrastructure and development projects despite the state’s national-level recognition in various sectors. He stressed the need for setting clear targets and avoiding delays in project execution. Saha mentioned the critical role of infrastructure development in realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a self-reliant India.
Saha called for increased participation of expatriates in the state’s development to attract investments, especially in the industrial sector. He conducted a high-level meeting at the Civil Secretariat to review the progress of key projects and ensure their timely implementation. The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, citing a significant rise in budgetary allocations for accelerating Tripura’s growth.
Highlighting the state’s financial commitment, Saha noted a substantial increase in the budget from around Rs 27,000 crore in the previous financial year to Rs 32,000 crore in the current fiscal year. Various officials, including Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and senior department heads, attended the meeting and provided updates on project statuses and implementation strategies.
