Two men were discovered deceased in a flat near DLF Bhagat Singh Chowk, as confirmed by Ghaziabad police. The incident, which occurred in Flat B-1 S-2, was brought to light when neighbors detected a strong foul odor emanating from the premises and alerted the authorities. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Dhawal Jaiswal stated that the police were informed about the deaths at around 9:30 A.M. The deceased individuals have been identified as Rakesh Sharma, aged approximately 70-75 years, and Nem Singh, aged around 55-60 years.
Police officials, upon inspection, noted the absence of external injury marks on the bodies, which are estimated to be two to three days old. DCP Jaiswal mentioned that a forensic team was summoned to gather evidence at the scene, and post-mortem examinations were scheduled, with preliminary findings suggesting natural causes of death. The men, who lived independently and operated autorickshaws for a living, were identified as Rakesh Sharma, who had been unwell for an extended period and was bedridden, and Nem Singh, who appeared to be his caregiver.
Family members of the deceased have been notified, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the deaths are ongoing. In a separate incident in south-east Delhi’s Govindpuri area, a mother and her young son were reportedly fatally stabbed in their residence. The perpetrator allegedly fled with cash and valuables worth lakhs, prompting the Delhi Police to launch an inquiry and review CCTV footage to locate the suspect.
