The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia strongly denounced recent Iranian missile and drone assaults on Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed condemnation towards Iran’s hostile actions, emphasizing solidarity with the affected nations and the need to protect their security and stability. Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs echoed similar sentiments, condemning Iran’s attacks on Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, emphasizing the violations of sovereignty and the escalation of regional tensions.
Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for launching missile strikes on US military bases in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain in retaliation for US actions. The IRGC targeted various facilities, including fighter aircraft hangars and command centers at the US al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan. Additionally, the IRGC conducted attacks on US military installations at Ali Al Salem and Ahmad al-Jaber air bases in Kuwait, as well as Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain, resulting in significant damage to the targeted sites.
The IRGC’s operation was described as a response to US strikes on military and security sites in Iranian provinces, with warnings of continued military actions unless the US ceased its perceived provocations against Iran.
