Union Minister Chirag Paswan criticized Mamata Banerjee for her recent remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, emphasizing the need for maintaining respectful language during elections. Paswan highlighted instances of derogatory language used even against the Prime Minister’s family during previous elections, cautioning against such behavior.
The criticism from Paswan comes amidst escalating political tensions ahead of the upcoming elections, with various BJP leaders also taking aim at CM Banerjee for her statements. BJP Bihar President, Sanjay Saraogi, criticized Banerjee for what he perceived as arrogant and divisive policies, suggesting a sense of insecurity in her recent conduct.
Adding to the chorus, Bihar Minister Ram Kripal Yadav expressed skepticism about Banerjee’s ability to retain power in West Bengal, citing strong anti-incumbency sentiments against her. He suggested that it might be time for Banerjee to step down from her position given the prevailing political climate in the state.
In a similar vein, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh in West Bengal strongly reacted to Banerjee’s labeling of PM Modi as an “infiltrator.” Ghosh refuted the accusation, pointing out the installation of CCTV cameras by Banerjee within her party, hinting at internal rifts and conspiracies. The exchange underscores the heightened verbal sparring between the ruling party and opposition leaders as the election draws near.
