Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan expressed confidence in the BJP forming governments in West Bengal and Assam. He highlighted the trust placed by people in West Bengal in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the likelihood of the BJP serving for a third consecutive term in Assam. Pradhan also emphasized the formation of a nationalist government in West Bengal this time.
Pradhan mentioned that the NDA is expected to form the government in Puducherry and expressed positivity towards developments in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, he anticipated the BJP emerging as a significant force in Kerala.
In response to a question regarding the recent wall collapse tragedy in Bengaluru, Pradhan conveyed his deep shock over the deaths resulting from the collapse of a compound wall at Bowring Hospital in Shivajinagar. He extended his condolences to the families of the deceased.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that a clearer picture of the ongoing Assembly elections across five states would emerge in the next two days. He expressed confidence in his party’s prospects in key states, particularly expecting a strong performance in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Kharge also addressed the predictions for Assam, expressing confidence in the Congress party winning more seats than projected.
Kharge highlighted indications of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leading in West Bengal and noted the aggressive challenge posed by the NDA against the TMC. He mentioned the Congress contesting independently in West Bengal for the first time. Kharge emphasized the need to wait for two more days for a clearer picture as both the BJP and TMC claim victory.
Regarding West Bengal, Kharge mentioned the party’s willingness to consider extending support to the TMC after the final results are announced.
