Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya Scindia visited Ashoknagar district in Madhya Pradesh to meet farmers whose crops suffered damage from a recent hailstorm. He assured the farmers of full support from the state government. Scindia inspected the affected Nalkheda area under the Guna Lok Sabha constituency, where crops were severely impacted.
He empathized with the farmers, acknowledging their distress and promising that the government stands with them during this crisis. Accompanied by local BJP workers and revenue officials, Scindia directed the district administration to promptly assess the damage and provide necessary relief and compensation to eligible farmers. He emphasized the need for a transparent and efficient assistance process to minimize farmers’ bureaucratic hurdles.
The Minister highlighted the significant setback the hailstorm caused to farmers’ hard work and aspirations. He stressed the importance of quick relief, surveys, and compensation to alleviate the farmers’ plight. Scindia reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting farmers under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
