Union Minister Pralhad Joshi criticized the INDIA bloc, labeling them as “opportunists” lacking ideological commitment. This statement came after the Congress ended its alliance with the DMK and supported the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in Tamil Nadu. Joshi highlighted the Congress’s shift towards regional parties for power, emphasizing their lack of unity with national interests.
Joshi pointed out the Congress’s collaboration with the AAP in the INDIA bloc, despite losing to them in Delhi. He also noted the alliance between the Congress and Communists in Kerala, showcasing the bloc’s opportunistic nature. Referring to West Bengal, Joshi highlighted the alliance between Rahul Gandhi and Mamata Banerjee within the INDIA bloc, despite past criticisms.
Regarding West Bengal’s political landscape, Joshi criticized the previous Communist Party rule and subsequent governance under Mamata Banerjee. He accused the Trinamool Congress of perpetuating violence and disregarding democratic values. Joshi commended Suvendu Adhikari for opposing the previous government’s authoritarianism and expressed confidence in the BJP’s promises under his leadership.
