The Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, recently visited the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Netaji Subhash Southern Regional Centre in Bengaluru. During his visit, he shared a meal with the athletes and praised the food as both delicious and nutritious, emphasizing its importance in the athletes’ training and energy levels.
Dr. Mandaviya took to social media to express his satisfaction with the meal and boost the athletes’ confidence. He highlighted the crucial role that “Nutritious Food” plays in the progress and success of top-class sportspersons, acknowledging the impact of proper nutrition on their performance and development.
The Minister also mentioned that the SAI Bengaluru campus has been honored with the prestigious 5-Star ‘Eat Right Campus’ award from FSSAI, recognizing its commitment to providing healthy and balanced meals to the athletes. Dr. Mandaviya underscored the significance of nutritious food not just in training but also in the overall development and achievements of athletes, emphasizing the importance of a well-rounded approach to sports excellence.
