Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie is set to star actor Manoj Bajpayee. Chaudhary acknowledged the government’s decision to remove the objectionable title and promotional materials, emphasizing the importance of social harmony.
The BJP President highlighted the significant contributions of the Brahmin community to knowledge, culture, and moral values over the centuries. He praised their dedication to preserving traditions and scriptures, underscoring their esteemed position in society. In response to public backlash, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed police to take legal action against the film for allegedly inciting discord and hurting religious sentiments.
Amidst the controversy, actor Manoj Bajpayee clarified that the film “Ghooskhor Pandat” does not target any specific community. He expressed respect for the concerns raised by individuals and emphasized his role as an actor portraying a complex character. Bajpayee reassured the public that the movie’s focus is on personal growth and not a commentary on any particular group.
