Upcoming Dhanush Starrer Titled ‘Kara’ Announced on Pongal

The film directed by Vignesh Raja and starring Dhanush has been officially named ‘Kara’ on the festive occasion of Pongal. Vels Film International, the production company, revealed the title on social media, along with a poster featuring Dhanush in a captivating look. Director Vignesh Raja described ‘Kara’ as an emotionally charged suspense thriller set to release in the summer.

It was previously known as #D54, and the film stars Mamitha Baiju as the female lead. Alongside Dhanush, the movie will also include actors like K S Ravikumar, Jayaram, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Karunas, and Prithvi Pandiraj in significant roles. The technical team comprises renowned professionals, with cinematography by Theni Eswar, editing by Sreejith Sarang, and music by National Award winner G V Prakash.

Notably, the storyline of ‘Kara’ is a collaborative effort between writer Alfred Prakash and director Vignesh Raja, known for their successful thriller ‘Por Thozhil’. Alfred Prakash highlighted the strong bond between him and Vignesh, emphasizing the benefits of two writers working together. They believe in the synergy of ideas that arises from mutual collaboration, a principle that led to the success of their previous work.
