The Uttar Pradesh government has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Yamanashi Prefecture focusing on green hydrogen technology. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath disclosed that the agreement entails training Uttar Pradesh’s higher technical institution students in Japan and implementing the technology across the state’s industry, public transport, and energy sectors. This move is seen as a significant stride towards fulfilling Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Net Zero target.’
On the second day of his visit, the Chief Minister showcased the state’s new development policies and investment potential at the ‘UP Investment Road Show’ in Yamanashi. He emphasized Uttar Pradesh’s shift from reactive to proactive governance, attributing this transformation as the bedrock of the state’s rapid economic advancement. Furthermore, he highlighted robotics as a pivotal technology for the future and announced budget allocations for establishing a Centre of Excellence for Robotics.
CM Yogi praised Uttar Pradesh’s demographic advantage and natural resources, citing fertile land, abundant water resources, and a vast human capital base. He accentuated the state’s growth trajectory over the past nine years, presenting it as a lucrative investment destination. The Chief Minister reiterated the state’s transition from reactive to proactive governance, emphasizing continuous initiatives to attract investments, foster industries, embrace new technologies, and enhance global collaborations.
