Vijay, the president of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has emotionally appealed to the people of Tamil Nadu to back his party in the upcoming Assembly elections by voting for the “whistle” symbol. Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support he has received in his political journey, Vijay highlighted the challenges he has faced and credited the public for sustaining him.
In a statement, Vijay criticized the ruling DMK as a “people-opposing force” and accused the BJP of promoting divisive politics. He vowed to resist pressure from what he termed as “fascist forces” and corporate interests trying to influence political outcomes, emphasizing the unbreakable bond between him and the people.
Vijay attributed the success of TVK to divine grace, the strength of women and youth, and broad public support, including from Tamils worldwide. He stressed that his foray into politics was driven by grassroots backing from ordinary citizens, not traditional political machinery, and warned against supporting opportunistic politicians who could jeopardize the future.
Encouraging active participation in the democratic process, Vijay urged voters to unite behind TVK’s whistle symbol and cast their votes collectively on polling day. He called on families to vote together, declaring confidence in a victorious electoral performance for his party.
