India’s cricket star Virat Kohli has laughed off false claims that he requested a chartered flight for his travel from India to London and wanted to fly home between matches at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Reports circulating on an Instagram account alleged that Kohli had asked Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for special flight arrangements between India and London, planning to return just before each game.
Kohli, the former RCB captain, refuted these rumors by sharing a screenshot of the post on his Instagram story with laughing emojis. The Instagram account that initially posted the claims later reported that their account crashed following Kohli’s response, displaying analytics to support the impact of his reaction.
During the team’s training session, Kohli motivated his fellow Indian players to excel in the upcoming matches, emphasizing the hard work put in over the past seasons. He stressed the need for continued dedication, acknowledging the increasing competition from other teams. Head coach Andy Flower also welcomed new players to the squad before Kohli delivered a motivational speech in the initial training session.
A prominent figure in IPL’s history, Kohli highlighted the importance of starting strong and maintaining intensity throughout the tournament. He urged the team to make the most of every session, emphasizing the need to give their best effort consistently over the course of the competition.
