The West Indies, known for their unpredictability in T20 cricket, are set to battle Zimbabwe, the surprise team of this ICC Men’s T20 World Cup edition, at the Wankhede Stadium on Monday. West Indies, two-time T20 World Cup champions, topped their group, showcasing strong performances to secure a spot in the Super 8s stage.

In a tough Group C, West Indies emerged victorious, with England finishing second, setting the stage for an exciting Super 8s showdown. Despite their usual erratic form, West Indies have excelled in this tournament, remaining unbeaten in the group stage with impressive bowling performances.

Led by captain Shai Hope, West Indies’ bowling unit has shone, with players like Shamar Joseph, Jason Holder, and Matthew Forde delivering standout performances. All-rounder Romario Shepherd’s return will bolster the team, adding depth to both batting and bowling departments.

Zimbabwe, on the other hand, has surprised many by reaching the Super 8s, topping their group ahead of strong teams like Australia and Sri Lanka. Led by Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe will look to continue their impressive run, with players like Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani expected to play pivotal roles in the upcoming matches.
