Veteran actress Zeenat Aman recently compared the depiction of Hindi cinema heroines in her movies “Dostana” and “Teesri Ankh.” She highlighted a significant shift in roles within just two years. Aman noted the contrast between being a victim of eve-teasing in “Dostana” and the aggressor in “Teesri Ankh.”

In a social media post, Zeenat Aman discussed the gender dynamics portrayed in the films. She emphasized the role reversal between her character, Barkha, and Dharmendra’s character, Ashok. Aman acknowledged the industry’s tendency to exaggerate courtship dynamics, advocating for a more realistic portrayal of love in films.

Reflecting on her own contribution to romantic ideals in Bollywood, Zeenat Aman expressed regret for perpetuating unrealistic notions of love. She stressed the importance of consent and mutual respect in relationships, highlighting the need for a balanced approach to romance in cinema.
