Punjab AAP General Secretary Baltej Pannu alleged that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is orchestrating a plan to undermine the party by manipulating Central agencies and orchestrating defections of seven Members of Parliament. Pannu claimed that Shah is using Raghav Chadha to carry out this scheme, offering him a ministerial position if he can lure at least seven AAP MPs to a new political entity. He further stated that AAP MPs are facing pressure through alleged ED raids, intimidation, and coercion tactics.
A new political party is reportedly being established through Raghav Chadha with BJP’s support, aiming to entice AAP MPs to join. Pannu criticized Chadha for allegedly betraying Punjab despite being given significant respect and a parliamentary position at a young age by the party. He cautioned against provoking Punjabis, emphasizing the potential consequences of enmity.
Pannu warned against underestimating Punjabis, highlighting BJP’s alleged attempts to destabilize non-BJP state governments using various means. He praised AAP leaders and legislators for their unwavering dedication to public service, thwarting previous efforts to break their commitment. Pannu criticized recent ED raids on AAP MPs as politically motivated actions to exert pressure, particularly ahead of elections, suggesting a broader strategy to influence political outcomes.
