Actor Deepak Dutta recently discussed his collaboration with Bollywood veteran Neetu Kapoor in the upcoming film “Dadi Ki Shaadi.” Dutta praised Kapoor for her warmth and charm, expressing his admiration for her from his childhood days watching her movies like “Ek Main Aur Ek Tu” and “Keh Doon Tumhe.”
Dutta admitted feeling nervous initially, given Kapoor’s iconic status, but found her to be humble and approachable, which eased his apprehensions. He described Kapoor as a wonderful person and cherished the opportunity to work with her on the film.
Reflecting on his casting process for “Dadi Ki Shaadi,” Dutta revealed receiving an audition call from Mukesh Chhabra’s agency, expressing gratitude for the chance. He connected with his character, emphasizing its relatability to every son. Dutta expressed gratitude to the director, Aashish R Mohan, and praised the overall filmmaking experience in Shimla.
The movie, featuring Neetu Kapoor and Kapil Sharma, also marks the Bollywood debut of Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of Neetu Kapoor and late actor Rishi Kapoor. “Dadi Ki Shaadi” is set to release on May 8.
