Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Jamui district on the second day of the ‘Samridhi Yatra’ and inaugurated development projects totaling Rs 914 crore. He laid the foundation stones for 189 schemes worth Rs 312 crore and inaugurated 181 completed projects worth Rs 602 crore, emphasizing the district’s progress.
During his visit, Kumar inaugurated the Kundghat Reservoir Project, interacted with beneficiaries, and addressed the public at a ‘Jan Samvad’ event, highlighting his government’s dedication to Bihar’s development, especially in regions like Jamui. He also humorously engaged with the crowd, urging women not to leave during his speech.
Accompanied by prominent leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Kumar proceeded to Nawada after his Jamui visit. In Nawada, he initiated 21 schemes worth Rs 244 crore and unveiled 37 completed projects worth Rs 55 crore, continuing his efforts under the yatra.
An amusing incident took place in Nawada when the stage anchor mistakenly introduced Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary as the “Chief Minister,” leading to a light-hearted moment before Choudhary proceeded with his speech.
