Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter’s official residence in New Delhi’s 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The meeting, which included Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, lasted for about 30 minutes. Photos of the meeting were shared by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on its official social media platform. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary later posted on his official account, highlighting the meeting’s significance and the guidance received from PM Modi on Bihar’s development goals.
The discussions during the meeting were politically important, touching upon Bihar’s development agenda and the current political scenario in the country. Various topics were covered, such as ongoing development projects in Bihar, coordination between the Centre and the state government, and upcoming political events. Cooperation from the Union government on Bihar’s schemes was also discussed, with a focus on sectors like education, healthcare, rural development, and employment generation. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar shared his vision for transforming Bihar into a “developed state” during the meeting.
The interaction between Nitish Kumar and PM Modi is seen as crucial for Bihar’s progress, especially in the context of emphasizing development and good governance nationwide. The meeting is expected to lead to new development projects and initiatives in the state. Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi, discussing various political and administrative matters. This visit holds political significance following the NDA’s victory in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, marking Nitish Kumar’s first interaction with the Central leadership since taking office as Chief Minister.
