BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin was warmly welcomed in Patna on a two-day visit, with a grand reception at the airport where several senior BJP leaders greeted him. Notable figures like Union Minister Nityanand Rai, Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and Industry Minister Dilip Jaiswal were among those present to receive Nabin. This display of support from senior leaders is seen as a clear indication of compliance with the BJP high command’s directive to formally welcome Nabin during his visits.
The presence of a significant number of senior leaders at the airport underscores the party’s commitment to following the instructions laid out by the BJP high command. It is noted that during Nabin’s previous visit to Patna, some senior leaders had not attended the airport reception. The high command had explicitly mandated that senior leaders must receive Nabin, the National Working President, with due formality whenever he visits Bihar or any other state.
Union Minister Nityanand Rai commended the enthusiasm and dedication shown by BJP workers in carrying out their duties, highlighting it as a positive indicator of the party’s organizational strength. Nabin’s upcoming two-day visit to Patna is of political importance, as he is scheduled to host a Makar Sankranti Dahi-Chura feast on Friday. Furthermore, he is slated to officially assume the role of BJP National President on January 20, with the nomination filing set for January 19. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be present as the proposer during the nomination process.
Nitin Nabin, a five-time MLA from Bihar’s Bakipur Assembly constituency, was appointed as the working president of the BJP on December 14. However, the formal transition to party President was delayed due to kharmas, which concluded on January 14.
