BJP President Nitin Nabin criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a roadshow in Kerala’s Kannur. Nabin accused opposition parties of colluding and failing to deliver for the people of Kerala. He dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s claim of BJP and Left Democratic Front (LDF) collaboration, calling them “match-fixers” who have manipulated matters in the past.
Escalating his criticism, Nabin targeted Rahul Gandhi on the Sabarimala issue, accusing him and Congress leadership of politicizing the matter. He blamed them, along with LDF and UDF governments, as the real culprits behind the issue. Nabin pledged a time-bound CBI inquiry to ensure accountability.
Portraying BJP as a rising political alternative in Kerala, Nabin expressed confidence in the party’s increasing support. He emphasized that Kerala is ready for change under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, highlighting neglect by previous governments in areas like tourism. Nabin stated that people are now embracing the BJP as a viable option after facing issues like corruption and lack of development.
Kerala is set to vote on April 9 in a single-phase election, with results announced on May 4 along with other states holding Assembly elections.
